Range Intro

By default, Pipo Range is set in Midi USB mode.

  • Pipo range viewing distance is set by default to be up to 60 cm. This is a good setting for hand usage on a table, but this distance can be changed up to 3m meter to detect bigger objects like people. The maximum ditance distance Pipo range can reliably measure depends on the ambient conditions and object color. Darker colors as well as sunlight (IR light) impact negatively the max reading distance.

  • Pipo viewing angle is 27 degrees

  • Pipo range can behave in 2 ways when the measured object is leaving the measuring range by enabling or disabling "Hold mode". If "Hold mode" is:

    • True: output is kept at the last valid value seen (Hold)
    • False: output is brought down to 0
      "Hold mode" can be toggled by a short press on the function button.

  • Pipo range has many fixture options:

    • a photo tripod thread mount on its back
    • 2 fixing holes with M4 nuts to fasten it on a variety of surfaces using M4 screws
